I have often contemplated that through mantras that society has created and propogated has oversimplifed our connection with the creator.
For Example:
“The God has a plan” clause has given people the ability to remove themselves from where they are. I.E " I choose darkness overlight, oh well God has a plan for me." Yes he does of course, but, keep choosing darkness overlight and I do not beleive that eternal life is in your path. Which eternal life is inherently availble to all.
If God has a plan I would say that its ceatinly more like a “tom-tom”. There is a most efficient path to get from your initial to final destination, but as you go off track, it recorrects to something new. But!!! Important point, if this truth, then God had a plan and you broke off from it.
The oversimplification is that God is always going to put you in the plan. The problem arises that it takes our own effort to put ourselves in that plan.
I have no answer of how to reconcile this Idea and apply in my own life. My seeking of this post is to reconcile the idea and to apply it.
My best reconciliation is “God has a plan availble for you.” Its your choice weather to follow it.
There are many other mantras that I would like to dissect, but later
