Obviously this was sinful on her part but I think it was mine too. I
Not obvious to me. She would have to know it is wrong and want to offend God for it to be a serious sin.
When I went up to Communion I was surprised to see her in line
How could have sinned if you were surprised. Just mention it to here before mass if there is a next time.

Huh? I apologize. I wasn’t trying to be snide. Sorry if it came off that way.

Half the time I cite the summa on here people just tell me “oh well that’s just Aquinas’ opinion.” Which I mean is sort of fair in that the summa certainly wasn’t error free, and a document from the council or something might be theoretically better. But I do feel like many here brush him asside in that manner without confonting his rather good reasoning.

But anyway none of that has anything to do with you. And again I’m sorry. Looking back at it, I see what you mean about my tone, but I was just plopping something in quick not carefully choosing my words. Nothing ill was intended I assure you.

I too apologise. Written words are so inadequate, missing tone and non verbals etc, let peace rain ☔
God bless

😊

My family is very good friends with a Catholic priest. He’s an awesome Christian. My parents, Episcopalian, were visiting his church and did not go up for communion. He asked them why and they responded they didn’t think they were supposed to. He told them that church is not like that.
