Yes, God does. He still loves them, and that is part of why Hell is hellish. Those in Hell made the dramatic choice to live in a way that denies the love of God being the true source of happiness. Imagine their eternal wailing and gnashing of teeth now that they realize a life lived trying to escape God’s love has landed them in a state of being where they haven’t escaped God’s love but have rejected all that his love has to offer.Isn’t it true, though, that God has to have some connection to the souls in Hell?
