Dear Brothers and Sisters,

At the conclusion of Chapter 1, in “Calls” from the Message of Fatima, in which Sr. Lucia describes the families in which the three shepherd children grew, she wrote:
When you read these lines…some of you may ask yourselves, what they have got to do with the Message of Fatima…Let me tell you that they have a great deal to do with it because, since the message as a whole is to keep the Law of God, I think that it will have been the fact that these families kept these divine laws in spite of the inevitable weaknesses of human nature, that they drew down upon them the gaze of the infinite mercy of God. (Underlining is mine)
How we need the witness of Good Catholic parents to their children, by God’s Grace, and the continuing renewal of family life in every home in every country of the world!

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful, kindle in us the Fire of Your Love.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

We as Catholics pray for the dead,
how much more should be pray for
the living, esp., those sinners who
are in danger of spending eternity
in hell!!

Dear GLam,

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes!!! a million times YES, we must continue to pray as Jesus taught us: “Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done…”

One of the reasons, I believe, that Our Blessed Mother asked the children (and us) to pray the Rosary daily is because it is such a powerful prayer including the perfect prayer Jesus taught, “Our Father”, the beautiful “Hail Mary” and the “Glory Be”. It includes meditation upon the Mysteries of Jesus’ Life with Mary and helps us to live holy lives.

Our prayer then inclines our lives to be like Mary’s life – one of following Jesus. We may have only humble work to do but everything done in union with Jesus, as Mary did her humble work, becomes precious, meritorious, and effective in influencing others’ lives…

The more we pray with Mary this prayer after each decade the more “heart-felt” it is:
O my Jesus, pardon us and save us, from the fires of hell. Draw all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Your mercy.
