Singing the creed as a question- is this legitimate?

Lately I’ve been going to a parish where they sing the creed as a question and the crowd responds. For example, in the last part, the choir will say “do you believe in one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, one baptism for the forgivenss of sins, the ressurection of the dead, and the life of the world to come?” The congregation sings “yes we believe.”
I tried checking the GIRM but I’m still not sure on this one. I’m just wondering if this is allowed or not.

Part of the rite of baptism is the renewal of baptismal promises, and this incorporates portions of the creed; it is common to involve the whole assembly in this renewal, because it substitutes for reciting the Creed. However, I believe that the questions must be asked by the minister of baptism or the priest.

There was no baptism, they do this at ordinary masses.

Then you should politely inquire of the pastor if this is a vestige of bygone days that will be changed when the new translation comes into effect on November 27. No, you have to stick to the words in the Missal, you can’t paraphrase them or change them into questions.

If the renewal of baptismal promises was being done, it wouldn’t take the place of the Creed (I think), and the response would be, “I do.”

The Creed is not said when there is a Baptism during Mass in the OF. One isn’t merely rejecting Satan and all his works, one also affirms their belief in God, Christ, the Church, etc,.during the renewal of promises. It would be redundant to recite the Creed, as the congregation has already expressed their belief in what the Creed states with the “I do’s”.
