Let’s say it happens during hygiene or something.

I suddenly remembered the time when i was still… impure with myself. It kind of reminded me of it. I kept on duing what i was doing anyway, but now I am not sure did I do it with the intention of feeling something or did I do it DESPITE the danger that i might feel something… was i afraid I might feel something r did I HOPE for it??? or did I maybe think “good this way I can feel something without doing it on purpose?” I am not sure. I really don’t remember. So would that be a mortal sin now or not? Do I have to confess this before going to communion?

We may never know for sure whether we commit a mortal sin or not. Go to confession, you are then assured that you are forgiven. I assure you the priest has heard whatever you did a thousand times. Going to confession is always good. Its okay for you to say I’m not sure if I did it on purpose or not, just be honest. When I used to have a problem those are the types of excuses/tricks that would cause me to fail and go down the wrong path again. Once you realize the tricks and the lies, it is much easier to avoid having issues re-occur.

God Bless.

The priest at my parish had a scheduled hour for confessions today, so I did go.$

I did say I wasn’t sure.

And he didn agree that it sounded like scruples to him…😉

But now I know I am forgiven, whether it was a sin or not!

:):)🙂

ALWAYS go to confession if you have any questions about sinfulness. The Priest will help you and we should confess our venial or smaller sins as well. The grace that you will receive from a good sincere confession will strengthen you and you will more easily discern sins when they may happen in your life. Confession and Eucharist go hand in hand and Confession restores your soul to the beauty of your Baptism.
God bless you.

Ok, one caution Iwant to add anyway though.
Because I tend to be very scrupulous priests have told me before NOT to run to confession for every little thing I think MIGHT be sinful. So if somebody is scrupulous, it may be a bit different…
