Sins concerning Masturbation

Is masturbation a sin if you don’t think about someone while doing it? Not that I have masturbated in a long while, I’m just wondering when exactly it is a sin. Thanks all for feedback.

It’s always a sin.

It’s a misuse of the sexual organs for selfish pleasure.

Sex is designed to draw you outwards to please your spouse. Masturbation only abuses the gift of sexuality and teaches one to be selfish.
