Sister getting re-baptized

Hello,

My sister-in-law was baptized Catholic as an infant, but her family left the Church when she was very young and so she really had no upbringing within the faith beyond making her First Communion in 2nd grade. Now, when she met her husband, who is a Pentecostal, his family “educated her on why the Catholic Church is wrong” and all the sola scriptura arguments. She accepted this when she got married and has never questioned it. Now, after 25 years of being married to this man, she is planning to get baptized again because she believes infant baptism is wrong and invalid. I am worried about the impact of this action on her soul. I have prayed for her return to the faith, and have encouraged her to study the faith or at least read a book or two and so make an truly educated decision about the Catholic Church. I know Catholics can not really be “re-baptized”, so what are the consequences of this for her? Any information on this issue is welcome. Any ideas? Also, we don’t push each other’s faith on one another, so please don’t think that is the situation. I haven’t said anything about these concerns to her.

She is simply ignorant and has no idea what she is doing. I’m sure God will take this into account when He judges her soul. As for the effect of the “re-baptism”? None, you can only be Baptized once.
