With the Rite of Election on Sunday, the beginning of Lent, etc. etc. I’m really starting to get excited now! 😃

Anybody else? 🙂

I am excited as well as I am also in RCIA 2009. Today is my first confession, and later on today will be the first time I receive ashes. Also the Rite of Election is Sunday. I am just so blessed and overjoyed. People at work think that I am crazy. But, I have never been happier.

Congratulations to you both for coming so far on the RCIA journey to full communion with the Catholic Church. God bless you both for your courage and faith!

I’m excited as well! Our Rite of Election was last night and it was wonderful. I’m bummed though; my sponsor and I left right after we were dismissed and no one told us that there was a reception. It would have been fun to mingle with the other parishes. One parish (I forgot the name) had so many people coming in to the Church, they had to divide them into two different groups; one group was there last night, and the other group is going to be there today.

I have been helping with RCIA for 4 years now. I am always excited as the Easter Vigil draws near.

Blessings to you and yours.

Hello! Well I’m home from the cathedral. 🙂

It was a lovely service. Its was split into 2 bit, the catechumens did their thing and were called up to sign the book of the elect etc. Then as candidates our sponsors were asked a few questions about our faith formation. We were invited to greet the bishop after the service which was nice… long queue though!

I hope everyone else enjoyed their service too!? 🙂

Me Too! I will also be confirmed at Easter Vigil. There are 6 of us. It is unbelieveable to me that there are so many adults (I’m 54) who are finally coming home to the Church.

Does that make sense?

After the confirmation of my boyfriend’s son last June, I realized that the spritual growth journey that I started at age 12 had finally brought me home. It was just a knowing deep down that I can’t explain.

I couldn’t get to the parish office fast enough to speak to Father about joining the church.

With my thirst of knowledge as well as other aspects of my nature, I have chosen St. Brigid of Kildare as my patron saint.

Our Bishop said it was the largest group of catechumens/candidates that he’d ever had for the rite of election/call to continuing conversion.

I suspect it has to do with the global financial crisis on top of the perceived decline in moral standards.

Welcome to everyone coming into the church this Easter Vigil! I know how happy you must be, my husband converted and came into the church and it was one of the most special days in our lives! God bless you! 🙂

WOW!!! Here we are Holy Thursday at last. Only 2 days until Easter Vigil. I can’t believe how excited I am. I just hope I don’t fall down in my heels (I always wear sandals or motorcycle boots)/B]

Just back from Mass, very excited and a little nervous! Good luck and God bless to all. 😃
