How long did this go on, once the instruction was to all subjects?
Did it continue after Moses was adopted?
Did it continue until the slaves were freed?
I do not see when this policy ended, if at all…
“. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
Then would the waters have overwhelmed us;
The torrent would have swept over us;
over us then would have swept
the raging waters”
Did the torrent sweep over them? Were they lost in the raging waters, all but
Moses? This was the policy, but it never says “x” number of children were killed
this way. It doesn’t even confirm one death…but if many were killed, why was
only Moses saved? And what were the effects of (years?) with no boys?
“I have come to bring not peace but the sword”
How do we reconcile this with “blessed are the peacemakers, they will
be called sons of God”?
“And whoever gives only a cup of cold water
to one of these little ones to drink
because he is a disciple–
amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward” –
– I think Judas lost his reward. Or did he?
Today is the day of St. Henry.
