I personally gave up candy, and self-doubt. How about everyone else? Rather interested. In addition to that I would appreciate if ages were stated for personal… census reasons .

OP wants to know if he has fellow 18-24 year olds here in CAF.

Giving up self doubt is a good one 🙂 I want to mess up the little habits that have accumulated, change routines and push myself to do small things I have put off for a long time.
Offer up nice foods and drinks etc .Do the reading I need to do,have proper set times to pray, try and visit Our Lord more often (if not make a spiritual communion) Help friends more…
Lots of things :). (In my 40’s )

I wish you luck on that! As a student “pushing small things” is very important. As for setting times to pray… try before bed, and right after waking up? I did this for a while, but sleep… it is really tempting. Heh.

Yeah, I just need to make sure my heads clear in the morning to really foccus. And then not leave it too late at night to pray.Rosary is usually when I’m driving and also walking ,but I would like to find some meditations to read.
Being a student you’d probably have a fairly good routine going?

For the most part, yes. Though this will not last. I am off to college in three and a half months. During Lent I hope to get back into the habit of daily prayer. This of course will carry on after Lent.

It was really nice to hear so many on this site say they couldn’t wait for Lent. I think so many of us want to try to understand Our Lords passion more fully and grow closer through prayer and self mortification ,doing things out of love for Jesus.
And it really is a wonderful time to get our selves into gear spiritually,to set up proper times to read and pray and ponder 🙂
I hope collage goes well for you kv

I plan to spend more time in prayer, and meditate on the passion of our Lord.

I use the abbreviation O.T.D. (older than dirt) instead of numerals when speaking of my age. 😎😃

I want to try to control my temper better then I have the past few months. Don’t want to pulled into idle gossip either.Take more time for myself to spend with praying and becoming closer to Jesus. Pray that my children will always know that they can come to me concerning anything.🦋🦋

Mama said she is giving up candy. She got mad tho when I told her that her Hershey bars are candy too.

I still don’t know what I’m giving up for Lent. But I bear in mind that “He must increase but I must decrease.” (John 3:30) So maybe less “me” and more “Him.” Going to try to read the whole NT during Lent.

Day 2, no coffee. I’m considering whether to take a break from that on Sunday.
I’m old and don’t fit your demographic. Also, I’m a bear.

On to day 3 here of no coffee here Bear,no headaches but just feeling lethargic (she says with another yawn…)

I love the Waving Bear videos. I just hope the trained bears aren’t expecting a peanut or something from waving back because they’re obviously not getting it.
