Can you imagine if our bishops had the same enthusiasm for enforcing the rule of faith and liturgical and ecclesiastical discipline as they do for enforcing these covid rules? I’m not saying it’s right or wrong to adhere strictly to these covid measures (clearly the bride and groom part is insane), but I wish they cared about moral and spiritual concerns as much as viral ones. Alas…
Have you asked your Bishop/s their reasons for not opening the church in your diocese or country? It’s a little unfair to assume their intentions without dialogue if not and if you have then start regular dialogue with them along with others in opposition to this. You cant get anywhere without discourse. Of course go to prayer first as to the will of God, patience and obedience is required. Pray for them too.
