A complete study of the Bible will show that it is an overall revelation of God’s creation and design for the destiny of mankind. All parts fit together to show a plan that God had in mind from the beginning. If any of its parts are removed, it destroys the design of the whole picture.
The entire Bible is based upon the book of Genesis, especially the first three chapters. We find that Jesus and the inspired writers of the New Testament accepted the account in Genesis to be correct and used the events to logically explain God’s will. They verified every major event that modern man disputes. In Matthew 19:4 Jesus stated, “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.” Adam and Eve did not evolve from something else. Was Jesus correct in saying this? By what authority did he make that statement? In John 8:58 Jesus told the Jewish leaders, “Before Abraham was, I am.” We find that Jesus was with God in the creation and the doer of it. Of him, it is written, “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” (John 1:3). Now either Jesus was truly the Son of God and was there in the creation and knew what he was talking about, or else he was an imposter and the Bible is to be rejected.
In Matthew 25 Jesus tells us that there will be a judgment and that he will be the judge. He tells us that there will be a separation from the righteous and the unrighteous as sheep from goats. The sheep will be with God and the goats will be eternally separated from God. See also John 5:28-29, II Thessalonians 1:7-10, Revelation 20:11-15). There are too many other passages that teach this to mention at this time.
Since Jesus knew the truth of the situation that man by his own goodness could not stand in the presence of God, he came and made the only sacrifice, that of himself, that was capable of opening the way for eternal life. And so he said, “I am the way; the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14-6). Also in I Timothy 2:5 we read, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” No one else can fill that place.
We find in Galatians and Hebrews that the system of worship that God gave Moses for the Jews consisted of physical things that were to represent the spiritual things in the church under Christ. As an example each lamb was a likeness of the sacrifice of Christ who is called “the lamb of God”.After his resurrection from the dead, Jesus told his disciples to go and preach the gospel. “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16). In Acts 2 we find Peter doing this when he preached the first gospel sermon and opened the gates to the kingdom of heaven. When he told the people that they had murdered the Son of God, they asked what they should do. He gave the answer to them and for all men until the Lord’s return, “Repent, and be baptized everyone of you for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
To sum it up, I have found the Bible to be a complete book of God’s will to man. It has been proven historically and geographically correct. No true science conflicts with it. Christ is
the resurrected Son of God and our only hope for eternal life.
Otherwise life has no meaning.
