Solution to "same-sex marriage"?

Maybe I should have rephrased it. I don’t think it is right for them to do so. I don’t think it is a marriage. I still don’t want them to be prohibited by law from referring to their relationship that way.

There’s nothing we can do to stop anybody from referring to anything as whatever they want to. If two people want to start living together now and call themselves “married” they can even in states where it is illegal.

I don’t want contracts to be formed by private parties that give real marriage and gay marriage equal status, even if not officially recognized by the govt. They’ll be accepted as equal by the people, and the govt. won’t give real marriage special status.

I disagree that this is the right way to go.
