Some people say the school system teaches anti God and progressive political belief.
What do you think?

That would vary widely between Districts. That’s for parents to discern and respond.

Contrary to what some believe, there is no monolithic “public school system” that operates exactly the same way in every single public school. It’s going to depend on the beliefs of the people in the area.

That all depends on the school system, which vary from state to state and normally from county to county in each state.

It also depends on how active the parents are in their children’s lives, especially the religious aspect.

That’s a wildly general statement based on no reality whatsoever.

In the Bible Belt non-Christians in public schools find themselves an unwelcome minority, as well as non-Mormons in parts of Utah public schools.

Even within my state, some counties are far more “religious” and open to religion than others. I mean just look at NYC. The Bronx, for instance, tends to be very religious and respectful of God but Manhattan, not so much.

Georgia has a huge percentage homeschoolers and private school per capita.
Some of that is driven by fear, some by terrible school districts.
Counties vary wildly.
You just have to go look and speak to other parents.

I’m not so sure that public school districts are anit-God/religious, so much as public school systems cannot teach anything that can be construed as favoring one religion over another. So they teach nothing and popular culture fills the vacuum when it comes to moral teaching. Religion has to do a better job of teaching its tenets in a manner that young people will accept. To this date the RCC fails miserably at that.
As to liberal politics, that’s a different story, especially at the secondary level and the public university level. That is the home of most of the liberals in the country. It is their breeding ground.

What? Why does the absence of God imply replacement by something else? At no time was Darwin or other scientist ever proposed as a replacement during my schooling.

Do know that climate change is taught at school. Have to sit a hot car during summer when kids are with me - no air conditioning allowed.

Actually climate change has been in schools for a long time. I remember when world overpopulation was taught to me in eight grade and I was afraid to have any children.

Still a problem depending on one’s pov. Luckily tech advancements keep pushing back disaster.

Federal aid to education began back in the 60’s…almost immediately, federal control of education became fact…I live in a conservative, Republican-dominated county, and the schools here have been promoting abortion and the homosexual agenda for decades…
