Check the notes in your Bible and see if there is a reference to the OT in addition to its citation in the gospels.

We believe in Saints because they’re real. As for Saints in the OT…Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses…There are plenty.
  1. And why do we call our god … Jesus when is really name was Zesus ??.
“Really” according to what?
  1. and if our Jesus died on the cross for our sins why do we have to go to confession
He died so that sins could be forgiven (if we want to confess them). Jesus bought us a ticket for the train to heaven. He didn’t then grab us and lock us into it.

Brady, who have you been talking to?!? 😃

Why would everything appearing in the New Testament have to appear in the Old?

“Official” Saints are people the Church has declared are definitely in Heaven, and this includes the OT patriarchs and other OT persons. There are many more people in Heaven than these “official” ones - we just don’t know for sure who they are.
    1. And why do we call our god … Jesus when is really name was Zesus ??.
As I understand it, in Hebrew, His name is Yeshua. We call Him Jesus because that’s the English version. Just like we say “God” instead of “Allah” (Arabic) and “Peter” instead of “Pierre” (French).

4. and if our Jesus died on the cross for our sins why do we have to go to confession?*

See Silent Knight’s answer! Jesus died for our sins, but we must still repent. And confession to a priest is God’s normal method for granting us absolution. The priest stands in for Jesus. In other words, it is Jesus who forgives us through the priest.

Where were you catechised, that you weren’t taught this?

There is a pack of idiots on the loose who claim that the Holy Name of Jesus is derived from the name of the Greek god Zeus; & is therefore pagan. Real Christians, therefore, don’t call Him Jesus - so the idea goes.

Ignorance that atrocious ought to be made a criminal offence.

Hence the OP’s question.

…lol…but how do you really feel, Gott??

😉

I had a sneaking suspicion that the OP was making some reference to Zeus. Guess we won’t know for sure until he returns…

Oh thanks you. Some man that is a Protestant told me that Jesus died for our sins. And I asked him god can not grant you heaven if you have major sins on your soul even if you are a protestant. And he still said he would be accepted into heaven after eg even killing a someone (god prohibits). And he told me that I should not pray to god even if I am a catholic that god does know what I want. And he does not need to be reminiscent over and over by my prayers… arrogant pig. And he didn’t believe in saints. Because there is no need for them … that god the father is the only person out there for us to pray to. I was only posting prayers for catholic people to pray… I have prayed to these saints in hope of my exam result are good etc. And he made a modest tease at what I was doing about posting cute prayers online for people to see … oh sorry but that man has the devil in him because I told him the story of Medjugorje where our blessed mother is appearing to a number of people everyday… and he said if we both died together and were at heaven’s gate and I had one sin and I say I talked it over with Mary and we looked around and said Mary is not here she’s on holidays and he said he was a Protestant priest. He claims that he will be accepted into heaven even the don’t go to confession .He on www.prayway.com and sending me PM… Any care to talk to him? Because I’m sick of listening to him think he is full correct about everything he believes. But one thing for sure that Medjugorje is so so powerful it can cure a person next to death or long sickness I have saw it work with my own eyes. Oh is user name is Willis

My last PM is sent to him is this?

“Answer these questions…
  1. Why has Mary appeared to catholic people and not Protestant believers’?
  2. And also why do Protestants people turn to catholic religion when they are very sick or next to death sometimes?? .
  3. What is wrong with believing in saints? Some saints body’s never decay… if there not a saint why didn’t the body decay? If you pray to a saint it’s not going to kill you after all.
  4. You said if we both died around the same time and we were at heaven gates. And you had lots for sins on your soul. Are you going to say … well I have been reading the bible and still making sins developing on my soul … are you going to say so let me in anyway ? And you find out that there is a place call HELL??
  5. If the blessed mother of God is appealing to Catholics and not Protestant. We Catholics must not be so wrong in what we are doing. (Believing in)
  6. Why are most of European Union counties a major believer in the Roman Catholic Church?
  7. Does Protestant hate Catholics is America??
  8. At lease us Catholics ask Jesus to remove the sins we have done. In confession.
  9. I will pray for you today. Because you do not understand what you are doing to your life and what is to come for you when you died
  10. Why did Jesus appear to people and tell them to pray for the soul in purgatory. Just research this soul in purgatory. Or just say this “Jesus Mary, I love you save souls” it will save a soul form going to hell. Say it please it not going to kill you. Maybe same a soul of a person you knew or who believed in your religion…please “
“And what he said back was…

First off it is not my job to disprove or prove your religion. Find me first where in the bible where it states any of you what you’re asking me??? Now before you open up your Catholic bible. I again challenge you to open up a Hebrew bible. Then if you can find anything on any of what you ask me let me know. Since Jesus was simple a Greek Translation of Zesus. I couldn’t tell you why a pagan appeared. When his mother Mary called him to dinner she never called for Jesus, for had she then she would have been Greek and not Jewish. For his birth given name for Yeshua and no it does not translate to Jesus, Joshua is the close English translation you would get. So to answer any of your questions it my suggestion that before you ask question that are not rooted in anything. Find proof before you ask the question. Always know the answer before asking the question. Secondly please if you dislike me say, but do not confuse me with yourself. I neither believe in religions nor do I claim anything less that what Christ spoke of which was a relationship with the father. Now tell me where in Matthew are this statement that Christ made to Mary??? Where in the book of John is this??? Where in the Hebrew bible is any of what your speak of???”

Brady, that man is saying things that other Protestants wouldn’t agree with either. Most Protestants would be alarmed if someone announced that they weren’t going to pray any longer. Someone like him can only be reached by the Holy Spirit and not logic. Pray for him. That is all you can do.
