…besides the new translation…
The first Sunday of Advent seems like a convenient start date for our priest when he wants to change something. Last year or the year before, during the first week of Advent, we began reciting the entrance psalm for daily Mass - which he noted we should have been doing all along. This year the altar servers donned new [very nice] albs.
But the thing that I noticed this past weekend, after the servers had placed the chalice and missal on the altar, as Father was arranging things, he took a folded cloth (the corporal?) from on top of the chalice (?), unfolded it, and placed it on the altar.
Is this a change that was implemented with the translation, or is it simply an option that he now wishes to utilize?
Just curious…
