I’m a listener to adult contemporary music, and lately, this new song by the Goo Goo Dolls has been saying a lot to me, about hope and goodness, especially during this Advent season. Here are the lyrics - let me know what you guys think.

I’m especially struck by the 2nd verse of this song.

Very nice! I don’t care for the group’s sound so whenever it comes on the radio i’ve shut it off w/o even listening to the lyrics, which i guess is a shame. Thank you for sharing!

What a shame. The lead singer does sing very heartfelt lyrics, like in “Name” and “Black Balloon”. But their BEST song ever is “Iris”, from City of Angels .

I’m a Goo Goo Dolls fan. Johnny Reznik is a great song writer. He also really struggles with writer’s block.

Gives me hope for my own writing.
