We had powerful solo of Ava Maria during the service–the opening song was the popular mix “Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World”, later on we had a Jimmy Durante version of “The Glory of Love” (you gotta give a little, take a little, let your poor heart break a little . . . ) and the closing song as they wheeled the casket down the aisle of the church was “Happy Trails To You” (the Roy Rodgers/Dale Evans standard). I still remember the priest saying to himself (probably not realizing that his mic was still on, as he escorted the casket out) “Oh this is perfect . . . just wonderful.”
That sounds very nice, but I know a lot of parishes and a lot of priests who would not permit those songs, other than the Ave Maria, at a Catholic funeral because they are secular songs not from the regular hymnal. Or at most, might permit one of them at the very end, but not three of them.

I frequently sing at funeral Masses. Common songs are ‘the summons’ ‘prayer to St Francis’ ‘song of the angels’
I will list a few more as I remember the names 🙂

We sing Amazing Grace at Funeral Masses . It is a beautiful song.

Ask your parish secretary for the funeral planning book. It’ll have all the choices, songs, readings, etc.

We buried my wife’s older cousin recently and sang the chanted funeral Mass for her. It was very moving.
