I think that might be because you posted that in the wrong subforum. 😃 You might want to try making this topic in Back Fence or Popular Media. I think it would get more attention there.

Growing up, my parish priest and the cantor would sing a stunning rendition of O Holy Night at the Christmas vigil mass that was amazing.

I really love some of the stripped down acoustic versions of the songs “Oceans”, “Touch The Sky”, and “Say The Word” by Hillsong United. I have heard them played during praise and worship style Adoration before and they were really moving. Their Album “Of Dirt and Grace: Live From The Land” has really intimate versions of these songs being performed at various locations in the Holy Land.

Another good one that moved me in prayer during Adoration was “It Is Well” by Bethel Music. I heard it at a conference, played by Ike Ndolo and Sarah Kroger and was the best version of it I have ever heard.

I have only listened to one of your selection so far youtube.com/watch?v=YNqo4Un2uZI I dont know if it is strictly “Catholic”, but I’m a music person and not always aware of the lyrics, what i understand of this song is that through the Grace of God, “It is well with my Soul”. The music itself is haunting. (through it all my eyes are on You") thank you for sharing one of the songs that brought you to your knees! 🙂
 
Ave Maria (Shubert’s), as sung by our music director. EVERY time she sings it, I cry. She looks up to Our Lady, Queen of Heaven above the altar and sings with a clear, mezzo-soprano.

Just listened to over a dozen videos, no one comes close.
 
Too many to describe, but the most recent one was last Sunday.

The recessional hymn was “Though the Mountains May Fall”, which just happened to come on a weekend I had my son, and just happens to be one of my mother’s most favorite hynms, and just happened to be the first weekend that my little boy wanted to sit in the big boy church instead of the nursery AND made it through all of mass.
