Lefty Frizzell was the first to record “Veil.” His version was the best.“Long Black Veil” by Johnny Cash (someone else originally, I think?)
lol, I believe Bruce Willis (Joe Hallenbeck) said the same thing in “The Last Boy Scout”Rap Music makes me cry (unless I am in control of the volume knob).
XD Ok, this made my day!Rap Music makes me cry (unless I am in control of the volume knob).
Me too!!! Not cry, but gave me the chills. I bought their CD just for that song.XD Ok, this made my day!
There are only 2 rap songs I can handle, and I dunno if they’re actully rap or just one of those rapish sounding genres.
The song handlebars by Flobots is one, and is actualyl a song that has made me cry once. It’s about all the opportunities open to us, and how we can make great or terrible things. It starts off so innocent, being able to ride your bike without holding on, writing a comic book, singing in key…then starts getting more adult and serious. being able to make your own living, your own choices, invent something great. But by the end of the song, the choices have become corrupt, the choice to use knowledge and power for evil, to dominate, to enslave, to destroy. It gave me the chills when I first heard it.
