Sonny James, singer of "Young Love" and other songs passes away at 87 years young

Oh, Miracles Still Happen is a fantastic song, thanks, I’d never heard that before. Young Love’s a favorite, though. When I was a teenager, and this was pre-internet, I obtained a 45 of the incognito Rolling Stones goofing off in the studio under the musical nom de plume “Bo and Peep,” doing a crazed version of Young Love. I’ve heard different theories regarding who the lead singer was, but I really don’t have the slightest idea. You can kind of hear Mick in the background, though, and Keith has a magnificent, red-hot incandescent guitar break.

Anyway, it’s apparent they love him, too. Rest in Peace, Sonny.

I loved his song “A Little Bit South of Saskatoon”, used to great effect in “Slap Shot”.
