Due to some duties in my job, I will be going to Europe (England, Germany, and France) a number of times over the next 6 months. In most cases, I will be flying out in the evening and flying back on Fridays. This will allow me to attend Mass here in the states.

However, I may be staying the weekend on one of my trips to Germany to do some site seeing and Christmas shopping. I will be either in Essen (near Köln) or München.

Is there any sites that can give me the Mass times in European cities similar to www.masstimes.org? I know enough German that I can get by with the Mass in German so I would not need the Mass in English.

There isn’t any requirement that the faithful know the language which the mass is being said in.

It should be equally sufficient if there is a mass in French, Slovenian or Italian.

That is true. I only mentioned the German since people may assume that I would like a Mass in English.

I don’t know if there is a universal site, but try searching on the dioceses you’ll be in or the parishes. I was able to find masses in England, Austria, and Italy that way. (Use your German for the proper search words.) A good guide book or the country’s “yellow pages” equivalent might also have some info…

Good new (partially) on this. Masstimes has started to list information on Churches outside the United States. They do not have any times (at least the ones that I checked), but links to web site are there.

One note. Spell the city like they do (i.e. Munich is München)
