Spaced out Immaculate Conception!

Help! I realized this weekend that I totally spaced out Our Lady’s Feast of the Immaculate Conception! I forgot it completely. I couldn’t have gone anyway, as I teach (can’t get to school on time if I went to one scheduled Mass, the other was during the day, and the vigil and eveing ones offered I couldn’t get to as I teach ELL to Spanish speaking adults at night as well). I go to confession every Saturday and I didn’t think to confess this as I forgot about it. I know I’m absolved of even sins I don’t remember, but have I sinned anyway? I forgot it accidentally, not deliberately (I don’t see how you could “forget” something deliberately anyway) and I couldn’t have gone due to work. Help! I want to go to Communion on Christmas. I can get to confession tonight, but my pastor already jokingly has told me not to be too scrupulous!

Thanks, Br. Rich. I try to keep a sense of humor about it. I just want to be “all that I can be!”
