Speaking in Tongues

Please excuse. These forum boards are confusing to me.
Some one asked me what speaking in tongues IS.
I really do not know. Is it forbidden or evil ?
 
search in this forum under Catholic Charismatic Renewal or just tongues and you will get more information than you ever wanted to know. There are at least 2 discussions going on right now on the CCR

To do a search of the Spirituality board, go back to the Spirituality board (where the list of threads were, and where the button was that you hit to start a new thread). At the top right, inside an orange box, there will be a drop-down menu that says “Search this forum.” Click there and type in a word or phrase, like Tongues, and hit Go. A list of threads will show up.
