Upon his invitation, my wife and I accepted our Bishop’s invitation to a mass for those of us who are cerebrating 1, 10, 25, 50 or 60 or more years of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, My wife and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. 
It was good to be at the cathedral today. Through the course of my history with the Catholic Church, it’s always been a special place.
I guess what impressed me most about today was the number of Catholic couples celebrating 50+ years of marriage. It was quite the witness and quite the pleasure to pray with them all.
On the other hand, the number of younger couples who showed up with their families was heartening as well.
In the end, we have a lot to be hopeful and thankful for and it was a blessed way to enter in the Allhallowtide. We are the Church Militant.
