I am planning to move to Richmond, VA, which is where I grew up. I found my home parish through the Diocese of Richmond website, and in reading details about the parish (St. John), I noticed that they have Masonic Home listed under Special Ministries. Isn’t that kind of counterproductive considering the Church does not allow members to be Freemasons?

You can see it for yourself here.

Just because the Masons run the home doesn’t mean that Catholics aren’t residents. I’m sure Catholic parishes minister to the Shriners’ hospitals too.

Yes, I believe that to be true. Our Newman Center in college used to minister to the children in Shriners’ hospitals.
