Spirits in heavens

I understand and believe that we will be spirits in heavens which can take any form of our earthy image, for example, one day I will form my spirit to take my image when I was 9 years old, and another day I might change my mind and take my 27 years old image (that cannot be done by having a physical body).

I based my assumption on when Jesus raised in the third day and his disciples did not recognize Him in the beginning, also I Corinthians 15:50-53 seems to support that idea:

"Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. "

What do you think?
 
It’s a fascinating idea, Sam, but we can only speculate about the precise nature of life in heaven. All we really know - as believers in the afterlife - is that we shall be in God’s presence and with those we love (including the angels and saints) . Nothing else really matters! 🙂

I hate the Word spirit but we have got to use it.
Instead os spiritual love I live to call human love.
Instead my spirit is writing for your Spirit to read, I say, I am talking to You.

Atention: you are speaking about the otheer world ! For in this world, Flesh is needed.
Otherwise it is Platonism which has the consequences we know…
