How quick are you to believe religious claims made by other people? This includes both “miracles” and “experiences.” “Experiences” include things like “Ninety Minutes in Heaven,” which you may or may not have heard of and which I personally think is a completely fake, although it is possible that the man had a NDE but no more. I am very sceptical and suspicious about these alleged revelations. Where do you stand on this?

I remain open, but look at the person’s life and how has it transformed toward humility and love ?

If they’re pretty much the same, the event probably didn’t happen outside of their own ego wishing others to believe it did.

Miracles and experiences, yes, I do believe in them. Only question is whether they are authentic or not.

I have been close to both in my personal life. so I believe they do happen. However, when it comes to all sorts of claims out there, they should be evaluated on their own merits. Like St Paul said ‘… but test everything’.

I believe that unexplained spiritual things happen to people frequently but I still think discernment is needed in every scenario.

Unless the Church discerns that such things are genuine I do not believe them.
With regard to NDE’s I believe they are all fake.

I usually don’t believe them, depends. I’m a very skeptical person, coming from a skeptical family, so it’s no wonder.

If it’s some private person who doesn’t talk much about their religious experiences and they happen to mention to me that they had an NDE or a vision of Jesus or something, I will probably file it in the “may very well be true” bin.

If it is somebody on a TV show looking for 15 minutes of fame, I usually roll my eyes and turn the TV off.
