Does anyone else find something spiritual in loud music, feedback, that kind of thing? It’s hard to explain but just the loud force of such music, even certain kinds of heavy metal, I find very spiritually profound.

Here’s a few links to demonstrate.

Certain music gives me an intense experience that I believe is called ecstasy, but I do not consider it a spiritual experience. The music doesn’t have to be loud. Simple noise or loudness doesn’t work for me.

I write songs. I play guitar. I shout Bible verses. So maybe.

I play every single instrument on every song I’ve ever made. To be fair, I can mostly do that with a computer.

I can find spiritual experience in either noise or quiet silence, but sometimes a good wall of noise is just what the doctor ordered. God created noise too.

Swans prolly not my thing though, I’d rather listen to Angels of Light if I’mma listen to Gira.

Hey a fellow Gira fan! I love Angels of Light. I listen to them about equally. Actually first place tie for my favorite band. If you like them, I recommend the Swans albums White Light from the Mouth of Infinity and Love of Life as they are more folk oriented.

Here’s an Angels of Light song for anyone interested.

I like the soothing melodies of the AURA channel in our satellite programming. There are almost never any lyrics – just calming, relaxing melodies and harmonies that are easy to absorb. Lowers my blood pressure.
