I have a question about the spiritual life of the damned, (and the devils). We know that soul (once create) is eternal, and his activity must continue in eternity, even that eternity is in hell and separation of God… What kind of spiritual life will they have?, what do people in hell for eternity, what’s in their mind? is some kind of pulsations of passions and never being fulfilled, or something kind of paranoia and fantasy thinking about themselves and about rationality itself, hell look like a planet of crazy for eternity… How we can approach this things, we have revelation about this, we can understand something with our mind in this life…? For me, hell is a planet of crazy people, and God not annihilate them, because respect their free choose, but also not force them to be saved, because they now have a great fantasy-story about salvation, or they even have uncertainties even about God existance, because the soul of man and devils continually will evolve in a bad state, even to the most stupid kind of thinking, and this, for eternity, for eternity!?, I think that we cannot understand this… Is too hard. Your view, brothers?

The greatest torture is the absence of God ,and there is a torment of the senses for which sin they have committed Yes but they evil spirit where released later Revelation 12:3 Then another portent appeared in heaven: a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail swept down a third (one third of the Angles was with satan the bad angles)of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.

Some angles where chained for eternity .as said in Jude 1:6 6 And the angels who did not keep their own position, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deepest darkness for the judgment of the great day.

But some where released for a little time as in Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and locked and sealed it over him, so that he would deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be let out for a little while.

God shows mercy till the last breath ,and since humans were weak though having free will, didn’t have proper knowledge of God than the angles,on the other had angles ,has free will and the knowledge of God but they didn’t see the beatific vision of God yet, after the war in heaven .St Michael and the Good angles ,as a reward God show himself, beatific vision in heaven

Revelation 12:7 And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.9 The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

And not this endless torment that people make it seem to be? Sure, demons don’t have God nor any goodness but it seems they’re no different than the criminals in this world if that makes sense. Does the church or bible say anything about this?

They are worst than criminals because they come in wrath against humans as hate the children of God and seeks the ruin of souls ,sin and death came because they where the means of sin . Revelation 12 :12 Rejoice then, you heavens and those who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,for the devil has come down to you with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”

Wisdom 1:13 because God did not make death, and he does not delight in the death of the living.Wisdom 2:24 but through the devil’s envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his company experience it.

Thanks, Frsncsc.

What I think is that Hell is not absence of God, but is the experience of presence of God like a burning fire.

Yes fires of hell but with out God as they rejected them*“Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”* (Matt 25:41)

“I, Sister Faustina Kowalska, by the order of God, have visited the Abysses of Hell so that I might tell souls about it and testify to its existence…the devils were full of hatred for me, but they had to obey me at the command of God, What I have written is but a pale shadow of the things I saw. But I noticed one thing: That most of the souls there are those who disbelieved that there is a hell.” (Diary 741)

The Apostle of Divine Mercy
St. Maria Faustina Kowalska
of the
Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy "Today, I was led by an angel to the Chasms of Hell. It is a place of great torture; how awesomely large and extensive it is! The kinds of tortures I saw:
The First Torture that constitutes hell is :
The loss of God.
The Second is:
Perpetual remorse of conscience.
The Third is
That one’s condition will never change.
T he Fourth is:
The fire that will penetrate the soul without destroying it. A terrible suffering since it is a purely spiritual fire, lit by God’s anger.
The Fifth Torture is:
Continual darkness and a terrible suffocating smell, and despite the darkness, the devils and the souls of the damned see each other and all the evil, both of others and their own.
The Sixth Torture is:
The constant company of Satan.
The Seventh Torture is:
Horrible despair, hatred of God, vile words, curses and blasphemies.
These are the Tortures suffered by all the damned together, but that is not the end of the sufferings.

Indescribable Sufferings
There are special Tortures destined for particular souls. These are the torments of the senses. Each soul undergoes terrible and indescribable sufferings related to the manner in which it has sinned.

I would have died
There are caverns and pits of torture where one form of agony differs from another. I would have died at the very sight of these tortures if the omnipotence of God had not supported me.

No One Can Say There is No Hell
Let the sinner know that he will be tortured throughout all eternity, in those senses which he made use of to sin. I am writing this at the command of God, so that no soul may find an excuse by saying there is no hell, or that nobody has ever been there, and so no one can say what it is like …how terribly souls suffer there! Consequently, I pray even more fervently for the conversion of sinners. I incessantly plead God’s mercy upon them. O My Jesus, I would rather be in agony until the end of the world, amidst the greatest sufferings, than offend you by the least sin." (Diary 741)
