The Church has a tremendous amount of resources that address the spirituality of our own personal sufferings.
However, I am looking for books, articles, and other resources that address the suffering of “God’s Innocents.”**
God’s Innocents are profoundly mentally and physically disabled children who will never achieve the age of reason to commit personal sin (or offer up their own suffering), but who often have to suffer daily.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for spirtual works that address this topic? I’m pretty good at googling and I can’t find anything on this. This would be a great help to me as a father of one of these very special children.
**“God’s Innocents” was a term coined by Mother Mary Benignus Hoban, co-founder Holy Angels in North Carolina that serves these children.
