I think it’s OK to receive Communion if you intended to be there on time, you’re not in a state of mortal sin, and you’re properly disposed to receive.

I would agree. If you intended to go but did not make it on time due to valid personal circumstances, then I would believe that are not in a state of mortal sin. However, if this is a persistent problem, then it may be a different matter altogether.

There was a similar thread to this one some time ago.The gist of it was that there is no fourth Commandment.It does not apply.Therefore you go to Mass once a week,not necessarily on a Sunday.So if you have a sick kid,dont go.You can go during the week.Just stop arriving late and bothering the rest of us

I was saying that even with the best intention in the world circumstances can occur that can make you late. Of course going during the week does not make up for it. You are to go to Mass on Sunday not once per week on any old day. I am glad the Lord is more welcoming than you!

Please tell me then, why is it permitted to attend Mass on a Saturday evening which counts as Sunday Mass
