I am also looking into the Liturgy of the Hours. Are they the same prayers every year?

Yes. One book (Christian Prayer) or the full four-volume set, The Liturgy of the Hours, can be used in perpetuity or at least until the Church decrees a new edition or a new translation is issued. There is an optional “Supplement” brochure available to assist you in finding your place and determining the dates of movable feasts such as Easter and Pentecost.
My copy of Christian Prayer was published in 1985. One thing that is missing is the set of propers for newly canonized saints. Under John Paul the Great there were many. Some cults suppressed in 1969 were reactivated and replaced on the Roman Calendar, such as Catherine of Alexandria. Some of these propers may be available from online sources.

Yes, with excellent variation
The base of the LOTH is the 4-week Psalter, arranged according to the days of the week. Taking precedence over the regular weekday prayers are a good sprinkling of saints’ days and feasts and solemnities of the Lord on fixed number-dates of the months. Add to the mix the moveable seasons of Lent and Easter, and no two years are exactly alike!
