Spriritual Retreats?

My dad is at the point that he feels God is calling him back to the church after a lifetime away…He has been praying the Rosary and went to Mass.
He in a joking but serious way, I think, said…“I think I need to go stay with the monks for a retreat or something”
I told him that they do have those types of retreats and then I had also mentioned that big Catholic Men retreat…I can’t remember the name of it…
Anyway, we are in Nevada, and I was wondering if any of you know of any monasteries that offer spiritual retreat or anything of this sort on this side of the country, or any other info that I could pass along to him.

I am happy to hear about your dad! Thanks be to God. Praying the Rosary and going to Mass are way to go!

Being across the world, I can’t answer your query, but will certainly pray for your Dad.
I send my congratulations on his intentions.

Reconciliation (Confession) and Mass, and asking God’s guidance and help are very good beginnings.

Thank you both so much. Yeah, it is a pretty amazing thing to see. He is the most not spiritual person you could imaginge, and to hear him say the things that are coming from him…God is at work. He did meet with a priest and had a really good talk. We got him a Holy Bible, Catechism, and Father also gave him a prayer book by JPII…so
I really appreciate those prayers and I found some monasteries on line…I just don’t know how “kosher” they are …if you know what I mean. So, I thought I’d ask the good people here at CA. I am going to look up that link you gave me right now…

If you don’t mind a little travel, Monastery of the Ascension is in Idaho. They’re Benedictine monks, and are quite kosher.

The Monastery of Christ in the Desert is in New Mexico and are also kosher. They are also Benedictine monks. I know the Monastery of the Ascension does retreats quite regularly, not so sure about Christ in the Desert.
