SSA friend whose father had stroke

Please pray for the father of a family friend, who had a stroke Wednesday. I don’t know him, but he has lived with his daughter and her partner for the past few years, because he is elderly and needs the help. He was still fine mentally, but I don’t know his status since the stroke.

I have also wanted to post about our friend for a while. She is in a same-sex relationship, but she loves God and is very “spiritual.” She was raised Catholic, but says she doesn’t see the need to go to Mass. I feel that arguing with her would do more harm than good, so I always keep my mouth shut when she says things about just being able to talk to God on her own. Her dad regularly invites her to go to Mass with him, but she always says that she goes to Church in her head, and that’s all she needs to do. I’m afraid to question her lifestyle in front of her, because I suspect she would get really angry. She has a job where she sees clients, but I don’t think I need to say what her job is specifically. (It’s nothing immoral, I just don’t think it’s pertinent to the story.) Anyway, she was telling a story that a customer (I’m not sure of which denomination) told her she was going to hell because of her lifestyle and she kicked him out. I pray that she will discover the fact that Jesus speaks through the Church, and that this discovery will lead to chastity. I’m pretty sure a miracle would grab her attention, but obviously we shouldn’t tell God how to act.

Praying for the health & recovery of your friend’s father & for your friend.
 
I pray for namax91, that she would be able
to share w/ her friend in the right Spirit about
the deceitfulness of the false way of SSA.
“It is time for God to act,

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into namax91’s intentions’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer for Strength After a Stroke

Have mercy, O loving God,
upon all who have suffered a stroke.
Remove the sudden fear that befalls them.
Endow them with courage in the struggle
to recover what has been lost.
Grant them strength and hope
to envision new days ahead
and a spirit of faith
to take the risk of living fully
once again.
