I was just wondering. Why hasn’t there been an English translation of that book for some time. It’s been like 200 years? There are copies of Summa Theologica all over the place and Dominic Prummer’s Moral Theology for free. If it’s so necessary, then why isn’t it instantly available? It costs $34.00 to buy from Amazon.

It’s 3 volumes. $35 is a small price to pay. Does everything of greatness have to be free? I think people spend that on a stupid movie and popcorn.
 
It’s not hidden from the public, you just have to buy it.
$35 is not a lot of money for a theology book, trust me. I have paid nearly double that for theology books.
 
Probably because most theologians can read it in it’s original language or in one of the languages it is translated to.
 
Translations take time and cost money. If there is not a big market for the text, I can see why no one would bother.
 
I would like to contact a priest who knows about the life of St. Alphonsus Liguori. I just got the English translation of the book and I am confused about the definitions of words and Latin terminology. I want someone who’s an expert on 18th century Catholic history and define the words at the context of the time period.
