Pax vobiscum!

I am reading St. Augustine’s Confessions and I found something that is kind of confusing. In chapter 2 he writes, "Because I am not yet in hell%between%, though You are even there; for ‘if I go down into hell You are there.’ "

Is he saying that God is in hell, or am I missing his point?

In Christ,
Rand

God is everywhere, even in hell.

I have read from other private revelations, like John Bosco’s, that heaven is visible from hell. Maybe that will help you. Tim

I’m pretty sure that the verse that St. Augustine is quoting literally says “Sheol” instead of “hell”. Sheol is the realm of the dead, as understood by OT Jews, not the hell of the damned.
