I’ve been looking to really study St. Augustine’s writings hard in the near future, and I was wondering if anyone had good recommendations of what to begin reading with regards to a guided commentary on his works. I have picked up his City of God and Confessions works, but I haven’t really dove in yet.
Should I start with those or read other works that have a guided tour through his theological writings? Any good book recommendations on his theology, main writings, etc., would be very helpful. Thanks!
