I have one Saint Benedict medal in my bedroom, one in my living room and one on my key chain… It was once suggested to me to put St. Benedict medals in all four corners of my home…Is that a bit superstitious??? I googled it but found no real historical Catholic basis for the practice… ill probably just keep my medals as they are but does anyoneknow about this practice? It might just be a personal thing for my friend to give her further strength on her walk…Thx 🙏💙🙏

You can put them in your home, doors, window or else, it isn’t wrong to put sacramentals somewhere in house. It would be superstitious to believe and act like medal itself will save you and protect you from everything bad without your own effort to live by God’s commandments.
Also, there is no rule where you should put it, someone could say that you must put it in all four corners of room or it will not work - That is superstitious.

It may be their personal practice. I’m not aware of any rules for a particular placement of this medal in the home. I have several St Benedict Crucifix around the house and a medal with my sick call set for the Blessing of St Maurus should it be needed. All were excised and blessed.

Bad things happen to those who make every effort to live by God’s commandments. God never promised we would not have bad things, He promised to bring us peace and to be with us no matter how bad it is 💙

I agree with you, but I was here referring to the fact that some people use st. Benedict’s medal as a charm, “protection” during occult activities they do, with the belief that the medal will protect them no matter what.
It is common thing with st. Benedict’s medal.
Persons may sin in using sacramentals by using them in a way or for a purpose prohibited by the Church; also by believing that the use of sacramentals will save us in spite of our sinful lives. We must remember that sacramentals can aid us only through the blessing the Church gives them and through the good dispositions they excite in us. They have, therefore, no power in themselves, and to put too much confidence in their use leads to superstition
