With the recent goings on in Malaysia where some “Muslims” find that using Allah as God in Catholic churches is sacrilegis, there is a Document from 628 AD that had Mohammed offering a decree to protect Christians. I don’t find this info on Catholic websites.

Can someone point me to it? Thanks.

There is such a document and it has Mohammed’s hand print on it. Here is a link to the Monastery’s website and a link to a photo of the document itself.

I am amazed at this document allegedly with the handprint of Muhammad (may God grant him peace). I wonder about its authenticity, but I also wonder how widely accepted its validity is by Muslims.

There are some fascinating interactions between Christians and Muslims, such as the two Muslim families who are keepers of the Church of the Holy Sephulcher. Also, when the Khalif 'Umar was in the Church, the call to prayer sounded and he left the church so that no precedent would be set for Muslims to pray there.

All will eventually be well, in sha’Allah

Usbek, agree.

I must add, after the fall of the Holy Land to the Muslims, there came about Muslim rulers who allowed Christians and Jews to practice their religion. I believe they were still relegated as second class citizens, but the leadership was just for the most part, up to the Crusades when a corrupt, fanatic became head.

Thank you for posting that, Kadaveri.

St. Catherine of Alexandria, pray for us. :gopray:
