I don’t have a link but I can tell you what not being on the universal calendar means for a saint. First of all, it does not mean that the person is no longer considered a saint. It generally means that there is too little record of the saint’s life (most likely due to loss of records), so that all that remains are the legends surrounding the person. Those localities from which the saint came may still celebrate the saint’s day as they always have, but the universal Church is not obliged to celebrate the saint’s day, but certainly may wherever the saint is traditionally venerated.
For example, I am a Lay Carmelite. A couple of our saints have been removed from the universal calendar, but they are still very much on our Carmelite calendar and are celebrated as they always have been.
