Im trying to find the formal prayer to St. Ignatius (if there be one).

All help appreciated.

I don’t think there’s an official or traditional prayer directed to St. Ignatius of Antioch specifically, other than “pray for us.” I checked the Raccolta (1910 ed.) and it only seems to have one to St. Ignatius of Loyola.

If you don’t mind using an “unofficial” prayer, there is this one, which begins “O wheat of Christ,” from the book Our Daily Bread by James H. Kurt.

Or you could pray one of the prayers that St. Ignatius himself composed, or one of the proper prayers from his Mass, asking God to bless us through St. Ignatius’s intercession or merits.

I am with you in agreement. It was through the letters (writings) of St. Ignatius That were a big help to me in my conversion to the Catholic faith. If anyone knows of one I would surly also want to know.

Suscipe (St. Ignatius of Loyola)
Code:
Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding
and my entire will,
All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace.
That is enough for me. ****
Similar to AA Third Step Prayer.

Here are some Eastern prayers I found
Like a living monument and an animate image, thy yearly feast is come, O God-bearing Ignatius, proclaiming thy mystic teachings and thy heroic exploits, thy resistance for the Faith even unto blood, and those blessed and celebrated words of thine, which said: I am the wheat of God, and in the teeth of beasts shall I be ground up. Wherefore, as an imitator of the Passion of Christ, intercede that our souls be saved.
Source
Code:
By sharing in the ways of the Apostles,
you became a successor to their throne.
Through the practice of virtue, you found the way to divine contemplation,
O inspired one of God;
by teaching the word of truth without error, you defended the Faith,
even to the shedding of your blood.
Hieromartyr Ignatius, entreat Christ God to save our souls.
