St. Joan of Arc is at it again, but they are bound and determined to be the “sand in the oyster” rather than leave the Church…

Oh, and hey, according to “Fr.” George Wertin (who studied in Rome during the time of Vatican II and comments that “my studies in Rome were not successful because they didn’t take.”) the Bible is “not a divine product but a human response.” The good Father also says that we should “not worry about the shame of original sin where one resides in a perpetual state of guilt” (Oh really, Father?? Did you pay attention during your classes on Baptism?).

Here is his synthesis of what Vatican II “really means”:
Vatican II created four core elements in the Catholic Heritage of Tradition:

  1. *]The Catholic Church has always respected the role of reason when practicing our faith.
*]The Sacramental Principle allows that the divine is to be found in the human.
*]Role of scripture with Tradition insists that the Spirit does not stop working with its people. The Spirit works in and through the voice of the people. We have to say, “We are the Church. You have to listen to us.”
*]The role of the Individual is to remember that we too are part of the big umbrella theory. There is room for plurality. It’s a big messy family where everyone is welcome.

  1. I urge all of you who live in the St. Paul/Minneapolis Archdiocese to forward this website to our Archbishop, as it is clear proof that the people of St. Joan of Arc are being taught heresy (that the Bible is not divine, that original sin is never removed, that the “divine is to be found in the human”, etc etc etc)

I find it fascinating how they can present 95% truth with 5% fiction and develop a theology that is so completely removed from Catholicism as to be unrecognizable!

I am so very sorry for those of you fighting to bring Catholicism to St. Joan’s. It appears that your pastor has forgotten that Rome has sent them a directive.

My prayers are with you.

It is clear that “Father” George Wertin and his Wertinites at SJA have already left the Catholic Church whether they know it or not.

They have adopted a misconstrued and twisted interpretation of the Second Vatican Council to justify their remaining in the Church, and sadly I do not expect them to voluntarily recant it anytime soon. Combine that with a moderate Archbishop who likes to maintain a low profile by not making waves in his flock, you have a fertile environment for the flourishing of heterodoxy.

i use to get really angry at stuff like this, but it isn’t worth it. i’m happy the church is in a crisis right now. it needs to be renewed and all this dissent is self-defeating. the major vocations are coming from more orthodox diocese and orders. i would be surprised if one vocation came out of st. joan of arc. like it says in the bible, “judge them by their fruits”. they are all going to die, and most of the catholic church will shrink so that only the strong remain.

i’d rather be part of a small orthodox chuch then a large dissenting one.
