Hello! Was St John the only apostle not to be martyred? Is this significant if so?
 
Hi,

Yes, St. John was the only Apostle to not die a martyr. This is not nearly as significant as the fact that He was also the only Apostle, standing at the foot of the cross. His was the unique honor of giving solace to our Blessed Mother and therefor, to her Son.
