We’re looking into selling our townhouse and buying a house w/ an in-law apartment so my mom can live with us. Real estate here in MD is expensive, so we’re not sure yet what we’ll be able to afford. We have an agent (a faithful Catholic agent!) coming in a couple of days.

Can someone send or link something related to St. Joseph and selling a home? Success stories would be great, too!!
Thanks. —KCT

Many thanks. I’ll ask his intercession until we make a decision about trying to sell. If we decide to move forward, I’ll get a statue (for my kitchen window!).

My mom bought us a statue from a Catholic store online and we followed all the directions that it came with, lots of prayers to say with it and buried it in our yard and put it in Gods hands and within the month we sold our home, we gave St.Joseph back to my mom and he now sits on her mantle above her fireplace and looks great 😃

We sold our house this past April. We got a kit from a Catholic supply store with a St. Joseph statue, which we were told by a priest friend to bury in our front yard. He said to be respectful of St. Joseph and bury him right side up, so we did. There were also prayers to go along with the kit which we said nearly every night and still do in Thanksgiving. We also said the St. Joseph novena repeatedly throughout the month long process of showing our home and all of the hassles that came along with it. (I do not recommend trying to sell a house with two children under 3 and being pregnant.) However one day, mid March, my DH was talking with a good, strong, Catholic, co-worker and he asked if we had buried St. Joseph in the front yard. We said yes and that we had done what our priest friend recommended. The co-worker said no, we should bury him upside down and facing toward the street. The next morning, without me knowing, my DH dug up St. Joseph and did what his friend had recommended. That very day, and I mean that very day we got a contract on the house and it was accepted. There were various other providential events and moments during the entire process of buying and selling our homes, which is why we are where we are today. Good luck to you!

We had a wonderful, Catholic realtor over Wednesday evening and it looks like we can get enough out of our townhouse to buy a house w/ an in law apartment for my mom (or potential apartment - dh and my brothers can do the work). Today I ordered 2 St. Joseph statues- one for me and one for my mom. My mom has to sell her house as well. I don’t feel comfortable burying the statue, but I do plan to keep it on my kitchen windowsill. —KCT
