That is the same seminary that produced “Jedi Seminarians” 😃
Ah, yes. That was a very fun project, too! And I think it might help vocations if we advertise that all our incoming seminarians are given lightsabers (jk 👍 ).

My 8 year old son was all set to join the Seminary after watching that one 👍

Awesome! He can check out our vocation office then… stlvocations.org.

Or he could talk to his parish priest, who, I’m sure, would love to help cultivate the seeds of a vocation! We made that video for a summer camp for kids just a few years older than your son.

Nope,

It would have to be the Diocese of Houston. He wants to be an astronaut\priest and we’ve checked on that. Houston has responsibility for the chaplaincy of the Space Program.

In addition, he wants to be the first bishop of Lunar Colony, so we’ve already got space suits designed to fit over the nun’s habits. We’re checking on if it’s OK for the Franciscans he’ll have there to wear space boots instead of sandals. There are still some remaining issues though; the zero G chalice has got us kinda stumpted.

(We might check on a indult from the Vatican to use wine in gold foil packets)

👍

Hmm… If he said Mass in space, that would probably make him the first priest to do so. But what about the candles? Do they allow open flames in space (inside the shuttle, of course)? If not, maybe he would be granted and indult to use electric candles…

Hey James…is that you???
No, this is actually his seminarian cousin (younger). But I have seen your book (haven’t been able to read it, though), and I think it is awesome (judging by the reviews I’ve heard so far…)!

Ah yes! You’re a senior there right? Hope your year goes well. You guys are always in my prayers. 👍

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Priestie Boyz (a band featuring seminarians from Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO) have released their album Lost in Ecstasy - you can find out about the CD and listen to song previews on their website, www.priestieboyz.com.

I especially like tracks 4 and 8! Let me know what you think about it!

I grew up with one of those boys. 👍 He is still as wacky and talented as ever.

I am sure you’re telling the truth… because to be a Seminarian requires both of the above traits ;).
😉 LOL. It is still very weird to think about. My sister had a crush on him in hs. And my fiancee was in a band with him and his brother.

*I’m sorry, it should read my friend had a crush on him in hs. My sister dated his older brother.

Talk about history!

I guess this is how people feel when they grow up with someone who becomes the president, or famous, or rich…
