St. Michael's Lent

I’ve heard about St. Michael’s Lent on EWTN…It’s from the Solemnity of the Assumption to the Feast of the Archangels, August 15 to September 29.

What can anyone tell me about it. The observances, any special rituals and prayers, fast, etc.

Hi,

I am excited. I am going to be talking to my Spiritual Director/Confessor to see if I can get his blessings to keep this Lent, seeing that St. Micheal is one of my patron or confirmation saints.

So has anyone else kept this Lent? What have you done? Is it like keeping regular Lent?

The Dormition Fast is the fasting by Eastern Christians before the Dormition (Assumption) of the Theotokos.

No it’s not. I believe St. Francis of Assissi kept this Lent.
