I would like to know how to approach a situation within my childs life.

He is 16 years and a father of a very much handsome and smart baby boy. He is still in high school and he is being drifted away from his family by the temptation of a high school girl.

The mother of his child is 18 years of age and is a full time working mother and she is also pregnant again and very much devastated that my son does not want to talk with her or talk about why she first moved out of the house. Please help this situation and help me know what else to say to the both of them.
She moved back in with us and claims that she really loves my son and needs him, but my son does not want to entertain her emotions at the moment, or even want to hear what her explanation is of why she left in the beginning.

I have spoken to her and adviced that she should start praying more and be very sincere and to bring our Lord deeper in her heart as I believe her prayer will be answered.

As a young mother that I became and grew up really fast, I need a little help as to what else can I say or do to help them both. shrug:

Renee, is your son the father of baby #2? That wasn’t made clear in your post,

Your son is a 16 year old boy, in noway is he ready to be a father, it is what it is. It could be a long time before he is ready to assume that duty, if in fact ever.

I don’t have any real answers to your problem. Caring for this girl and doing all you can to give the children a stable home should be at the top of the list.

Turning your son around will take a lot of work and prayer, but that doesn’t mean you don’t try. I’d have a plan in place to take care of these young babies, and I’d do it on the assumption your son is not going to be much help. I know that is a sobering thought, but I’d say it was reality.

I’ll keep y’all in my prayers, and perhaps others (who been in this situation) can give you more concrete advice.

Why is this young woman living under your roof instead of with her own family or in her own place? I would put an end to that immediately.

Is your son responsible for her 2d pregnancy?

Why should she put an end to it?

This young woman is the mother of her grandchild, and sounds like she needs help. I am guessing that the second baby is her sons, why on earth would she turn her back on this young woman?
