Should I go to the Easter Vigil or the lottery solemn mass at St. Patrick’s in New York?

I’m just wondering which one. You only need a ticket for the solemn mass. Thanks!

If it’s anything like previous years, there will be a HUGE crowd in the street on Easter morning. Some are there for the ticketed Mass, some are there to attend the non-ticketed Masses that happen before and after the ticketed one, but a whole lot of them are not there to attend Mass at all. The “Easter Parade”, which is not really a parade but just a crush of people, many of whom are in costumes or hats, will be out in force for several blocks. I thought it was fun, but if you do not like having to push through big crowds (I got into some argument with a girl who thought I was pushing her when it was the crowd pushing me into her), go to the Easter Vigil. Actually maybe I will go to the Vigil too.
